Thames Barrier Park

Thames Barrier Park was designed by Groupe Signes of Paris and Patel Taylor of London.


The park was first opened in 2000

The whole area is 22 acres (9 hectares)

Edinburgh

On the first day in Edinburgh, we visited the castle as seen below




From the castle, (on a clear day) you can see almost all of Edinburgh, below you can see Prince Street Gardens and Princes Street

The Royal Mile

From the Castle we headed down the Royal Mile towards the Parliament building, on the way it looked like there was an architectural dig going on...


...and remains of what looked like some of the original paving stones that lined the street

The Parliament Building was designed by RMJM and EMBT


The building first opened in October 2004 and the local area reached 100,000 visitors
